Mr.Marchewski is a diverse learners teacher and the current head coach of the boys varsity basketball team at Benito Juarez High School.Coach Marchewski is looking forward to this 2018-2019 basketball season. Coach Marchewski has been involved with the team for eight years, he has now been the head coach for four years. Before that he was assistant coach for four years. He thinks that it’s really cool working with student athletes outside of the classroom.

“I get to know them on a personal level, they are a lot of fun to be around, and we get to do something that I enjoy which is playing basketball,” said Marchewski.

Coach Marchewski is really looking forward to having a winning season.

“As long as I’ve been here we have never had ten wins in a season…I think this is the group that can do it, they are up for the task,” said Marchewski.

Students can support the boys basketball teams at these home games starting at 5 pm in the gym:  11/27 against Hancock, 12/5 against Little Village, 12/12 against Chicago Tech, 12/19 against Horizon Science Academy, 1/9 against Austin College and Career Academy, 1/11 against Kelvyn Park, 1/18 against Ogden International, 1/25 against Alcott/DeVry Advantage Academy, 2/2 against Cristo Rey.
