The marines are part of the military branch and serve our country. On December 21st 2017, a few men from the marines came to Benito Juarez Community Academy and spoke about themselves and their mission. Lance Corporal Jackson, who is 23, spoke about recruitment and the benefits of joining the marines. If you join the marines, you are giving yourself to the government when you sign a contract for 4 years. Some of the benefits you receive from joining the marines is receiving a GI-Bill. The GI-Bill is a grant that the government gives you for covering tuition and expenses for college. Although many people think that if you join the marines you have one job, but there are countless jobs you can get if you decide to join. You can become a medic, a mechanic, and even a police officer. The marines also offer paid college classes and give you jobs so you can have a salary. There are many benefits of joining, look them up and see if they suit you. The Few. The Proud. The Marines.
